Description
OverviewThe Tournament & Events Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing all golf-related tournaments, leagues, and special events at our indoor golf facility. This role combines event management, customer service, and marketing to create engaging experiences that drive participation, build community, and increase facility revenue.
Essential Responsibilities
Event & Tournament Management
- Plan, schedule, and manage all in-house tournaments, leagues, and special golf events.
- Develop event formats, scoring systems, and prize structures tailored to various skill levels.
- Coordinate league registration, team formation, scheduling, and communication with participants.
- Oversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring all simulators and equipment are prepared and functioning.
- Track and report on event participation, results, and post-event feedback.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for league and tournament participants.
- Promote a welcoming and fun environment that encourages repeat participation.
- Respond promptly to inquiries, resolve issues, and provide excellent customer service before, during, and after events.
- Collaborate with marketing staff to design and execute promotional campaigns for leagues and tournaments.
- Utilize social media, email, and in-facility displays to increase participation and awareness.
- Build partnerships with local golf clubs, corporate clients, and community organizations to grow event reach.
- Maintain accurate records of event registration, payments, and attendance.
- Coordinate with bar/restaurant and simulator staff to ensure smooth event flow.
- Assist in developing annual event calendars and budget forecasts.
- Monitor simulator performance and report technical issues promptly.
- 2+ years of experience in event planning, sports management, or recreation coordination (golf experience preferred).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
- Proficient in scheduling software, POS systems, and basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
- Knowledge of golf rules, formats, and scoring systems preferred.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and peak event times.
- Energetic, outgoing, and enthusiastic about golf and community engagement.
- Creative problem-solver who can adapt quickly to changing event needs.
- Team-oriented but capable of managing projects independently.
- Passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences.
