Coordinate communications and marketing for the Office of the Dean of Students and Military & Veterans Student Center. Planning and implementing Office of the Dean of Students (ODOS) and Student Affairs (SA) semester and annual programs. Oversee Orientation efforts on behalf of ODOS, which includes presenting to parents and student attendees. Plan and facilitate National Coalition Building Institute (NCBI) sessions, annual events which includes working with campus and community partners. Hiring, training and managing student assistants. Processing payroll for student assistants. Service as an advisor to a branch within Student Government and provide oversite at SG meetings. Oversee office inventory and procuring office supplies. Oversee assessment and strategic planning for ODOS. Collect data from ODOS units and prepare annual reports.
Coordinate communications and marketing for the Office of the Dean of Students including promotional items, web, and social media. Support ODOS sub-units including Military & Veterans Student Center and Student Government on communication needs, such as campaigns, websites, and marketing strategies. (25%)
Plan and implement SG/ODOS/SA programs including management of Tiger Twelve selection and recognition. Plan and implement Ring Ceremony through VPSA office. Prepare and communicate ODOS services/make presentations to attendees at Orientation sessions. Plan/facilitate and work with community partners within LSU and abroad to meet the needs of NCBI’s mission. Oversee ODOS student assistants and SG senate student assistants by ensuring appropriate training, scheduling, process student payroll in Workday. (35%)
Serve as an advisor to the branch within Student Government and provide oversite at SG weekly meetings. Attend and advise student leaders during meeting and special projects. Communicate and update SG Advisors on all events, leadership challenges that involves Student Government. Work closely with SG Financial Coordinator on SG large scale events such as Groovin’, SEC Exchange and any other events that are pertinent to Student Government initiatives and success. (25%)
Oversee assessment and strategic planning for ODOS. Oversee inventory for ODOS office. Procure office supplies for ODOS. Prepare weekly update reports on events and other duties to supervisor. Collect data from ODOS units and prepare annual report. Serve on committees as needed and other duties as assigned by the Assistant to the Dean of Students. (15%)
Master's degree. Two years of professional experience.
Work with Student Organizations, communications and marketing background and event planning. Strong interpersonal and public speaking skills. Experience working on a college campus.
